Pollite started supplying frangible approach masts for airfields in 2000. As part of a wider company specialising in the manufacture of glassfibre lighting poles, radio masts and flagpoles all Pollite masts are manufactured in the United Kingdom and benefit from ISO 9001 accreditation. With many clients worldwide our company has an extensive knowledge of shipping and adapting product to meet international requirements.
All Pollite product is made in house by our experienced team of manufacturers and engineers.. We believe very strongly in the importance of quality and design inspection throughout every process.
Following the new ICAO and FAA frangibility requirements released in 2006 Pollite undertook a further series of physical tests as per the ICAO recommendations in their Aerodrome Design Manual PT. 6 and the FAA’s Advisory Circular No. 150/5345-45C. Testing was successfully completed for frangibility, wind speeds and deflection, all being independently attested.
We have ensured that our approach masts are compliant with the CAA’s CAP 168 Licensing of Aerodromes requirements.
